Roofing Services for Your Home

Most roof problems come down to a handful of parts: the shingles, the underlayment beneath them, the flashing at walls and chimneys, the pipe boots and vents, and the gutters that carry water away. We work on all of them. Roof repair fixes a specific failure, roof replacement starts over from the deck up, and storm damage repair deals with what hail and wind leave behind. Roof inspections and gutter work round it out, because a roof is only as good as the way it sheds water.

    Roof Replacement

Full tear-off and new roof systems, recommended only after we have inspected the shingles, flashing, decking and attic ventilation on your home.

    Roof Repair

Leaks, lifted shingles, cracked boots and failed flashing found at the source and repaired, with photos of what we saw before any work is recommended.

  • Roof Inspections

A close check of shingles, flashing, decking, attic and ventilation, with photos and a plain explanation of what we found and why it matters.

  • Storm Damage Repair

Hail bruising, creased shingles and torn flashing found, photographed and explained, then repaired or replaced based on what the roof actually shows.

  • Gutters

New one-piece gutters, downspouts and gutter repair, planned after we check the fascia, the pitch and where the water lands around your home.

How a Roofing Job Runs

The order matters. We find the cause first, agree on the scope second and only then pick up tools.

  1. 1

You call and describe the problem

Tell us what you have noticed: a ceiling stain, missing shingles after a storm, an older roof you are unsure about. We set a time to come out.

  2. 2

We go over the roof and attic

We check the surface, the flashing and the gutters from the outside, then look at the underside of the deck from the attic when we can reach it. Water often travels along rafters before it drips, so the stain and the leak are not always in the same place.

  3. 3

    We show you the findings

You get photos and a plain explanation of what is failing and why. Then we give you options, repair or replacement, with a written estimate for each.

  4. 4

    Work day and cleanup

We protect shrubs and siding, keep debris in a trailer or dumpster and run a magnet over the yard and driveway for loose nails before we leave.

  5. 5

    Final walk

When the job is done, we walk it with you, point out the new flashing and vents, and answer anything left on your mind.

About Roofing Luther

We are a roofing company working in Luther and the towns around it. Our approach is simple: climb up, look closely and tell you what is actually there. Plenty of roofs that look tired from the ground have years left once a few boots and flashing pieces are replaced, and some that look fine are failing underneath. We would rather you know which one you have.

Central Oklahoma roofs take hail in spring, strong wind most of the year and long summer heat that bakes shingles and dries out sealant. That is why we pay close attention to nailing patterns, sealed edges and attic ventilation, the details that decide whether a roof holds up or starts shedding shingles after its first hard storm.

What Moves the Price of a Roof

Two houses that match from the curb can carry very different roof prices. What sits on top, and what is hidden beneath it, sets the number. These are the items that move an estimate the most.

After we have been on the roof, you get a written estimate split into line items that show what each part of the job covers. We give quotes by phone or in person, and never as a guess without seeing the roof.

Size and pitch
Roofing is counted in squares of 100 square feet each. A steep pitch calls for more safety gear and slower work, so roofs with the same footprint can land far apart on price.
Layers to tear off
On some older homes, a second set of shingles was nailed straight over the first. Removing both down to the deck takes more labor and sends more weight to the dumpster, but it is the only way to see the condition of the wood.
Condition of the decking
Plywood or plank decking that has taken on water goes soft and stops holding nails. Often it stays hidden until the shingles are off, so our estimate spells out how any replaced sheets are charged.
Material choice
Standard architectural shingles, impact-rated shingles and metal panels vary in price, weight and how well they take hail. We walk you through the tradeoffs for your house.
Flashing, vents and penetrations
Each chimney, skylight, pipe and vent needs its own flashing or boot. More openings in the roof, or attic ventilation that has to be fixed, means more parts and more hours.
Gutters and access
Doing gutters in the same project, or working around a narrow driveway or close landscaping, widens the job. We list it at the start so it doesn't turn up as a surprise later.

Why Homeowners Call Us First

A guess about a roof is expensive, so we take the time to know before we speak. Here is what that looks like on an actual job.

  1. 01

We look before we talk price

A roof visit means walking the slopes, lifting shingle tabs to check the seal strip and nail line, probing soft spots in the deck and checking the attic for daylight and water stains. Only then do we tell you what the roof needs.

  2. 02

    Findings you can see

We photograph what we find: cracked pipe boots, lifted flashing, granule loss, bruised mats from hail. You see the same evidence we do, so the recommendation makes sense on its own terms. If a repair will hold, we say so.

  3. 03

    Licensed by the state

We work under an Oklahoma CIB roofing license. That is the state's roofing license, issued through the Construction Industries Board, and it is worth asking any roofer about.

  4. 04

    Two warranties behind the work

Our roofs carry a lifetime warranty on the roof materials and a 10-year workmanship warranty. We go over both with you before work starts so you know which one applies to what.

  5. 05

Work done by hand where it counts

Step flashing, valley metal and drip edge get fitted, not slapped on. These are the spots where most leaks begin, so they get the slowest, most careful part of our day.

Roof Questions Homeowners Ask Us

Something not covered here? (405) 407-1742

Can my roof be repaired, or is it time for a new one?

That comes down to how widespread the damage is and how much life is left in the shingles. A few split pipe boots or one loose flashing joint can be fixed properly. Shingles that have gone brittle, lost most of their granules or sit over soft decking in several places usually call for replacement. When both paths make sense, we show you photos and explain each one.

A hailstorm came through. Should I file a claim?

Start with an inspection so you know whether the damage is real. Hail can fracture the mat beneath the granules and leave nothing visible from the ground. If we find damage, we photograph it and walk you through it, so you contact your insurer with solid information. Coverage is the adjuster's call, and we can describe how that process typically goes.

Does a new roof come with a warranty?

It does: a lifetime warranty on the roof materials and a 10-year workmanship warranty. We go through the terms with you before the job begins so you know what covers your roof.

How long does it take to put on a new roof?

On most single-family homes, one to two working days once the materials are delivered. Steep slopes, extra layers to strip or widespread rotten decking can add time. Weather plays a part too, because we won't open up a roof when rain or high wind is coming.

Does someone need to be home during the work?

Not the whole time, though we'd like to meet you at the start and go over the finished roof with you at the end. If we run into a surprise like rotten decking, we phone you before going further. Keep pets and cars clear of the drip line while we work.

Should my gutters be replaced when the roof is?

Not always. Gutters that are solid, properly sloped and draining can stay, and we work around them. If they sag, pull away from the fascia or overflow, replacing them with the roof lets us tie the drip edge and gutters together correctly. We'll let you know which case fits after we see them.

Why is the ceiling stain far from where the roof is damaged?

Water usually enters at a flashing joint, a nail hole or a worn boot, then runs along the underlayment or a rafter before it falls. The stain ends up several feet from the entry point. That's why we look in the attic as well as on the roof before recommending a fix.
